Heidi’s review of Zippy bibs, including a comp to win a set!

Thanks Heidi for this lovely review, clearly our bibs have arrived at the right time for your little Emmie! What a gorgeous dribbler!

Zippy Bib: Review and Giveaway!

Win a set of zippy bibs. review and giveawayI have to admit I am a bit of a sucker for a good bib and Zippy do do a good bib! I remember using Zippy Bibs when Finlay was a baby and was always impressed by their quality. So I was very excited when Nicole, the founder got in contact and asked if I wanted to review some bibs. I didn’t hestitate. They arrived last week and Emmie has spent the last few days drolling them through their paces.Zippy was founded 5 years ago by Nicole, a mother herself who wanted to make useful baby products for mums designed by mums. Today Zippy sell a number of different types of bibs, clothing, muslins, swaddles and blankets. Zippy products are in fact so useful and well designed, they have won a number of awards!

zippy variety and awards

Zippy bibs come a huge variety of designs for boys, girls and unisex. The bibs are made from 100% pure cotton and premium quality fleece making them super soft and highly absorpant. This ensures that babies are kept drier for longer. I couldn’t wait to put them to the test!

I belive bibs are one of the main essentials that any parent needs for their baby. These little humans just love to leak wether it be milk, sick or dribble. Sometimes though, you need more than just a bib. you know? When you have a gorgeous outfit?  Then you cover it with a drab looking bib? Well Zippy bibs are the answer. These bibs are a very functional, stylish accessory!

Nicole let me choose which design I wanted and I was spoilt for choice. I really found it hard to narrow down to just one set as they were all super cute. In the end though I decided on a pack that had two bold designs and two pastels. I couldn’t wait for them to arrive, especially as Emmie has started drooling like Niagra Falls.

zippy bib review

The bibs were delivered in a cute little box and were neatly rolled into place. Before I even opened them, I was thinking I would be really impressed to recieve these as a baby shower gift.

On opening, you could tell how high quality these bibs are. They felt thick and soft, I had no worries over how comfortable these would be against Emmie’s neck. I’m super excited at this point! The back of the bib is really soft and thick and is what makes them highly absorbant. The colours were gorgeous. I especially loved how bright the bold bibs were and was impressed how well the prints had been transfered on. I inspected the poppers and seams, they were all faultless and really well made. I just hoped these Zippy bibs would stand up to the test!

The bibs have two press studs on them, which means they grow with your baby. The neckline is slightly rauched and stretchy. This means the bib fits snugly. I popped the first bib on Emmie and fastened it the smallest I could (Emmie is a bit wee). It fit really well, not too tight, but close enough to catch that dribble and anything else that came up! Cue the dribble, no sooner than I popped it on, the drbbling began. Usually Emmie soaks through a bib quite quickly. I kept checking, but her clothes remained dry (I hadn’t doubted they would), even though the bib was quite damp. They had passed the dribble test with flying colours. We continued using them over the next few days and I wasn’t once disapointed, nor was Emmie once damp. They also looked fabulous against her clothes, theres nothing drab about these bibs!

One extra thing that I was keen to test, was how the bibs performed after a wash. I think a definite sign of quality is an item that performs just as well after a spin in the machine. The bibs went in on a normal wash and I hung them up to air dry. I was actually surprised, expecting at least the feel to be slightly different. However they felt like new, still really thick and soft, disapointedjust as bright and no less absorbant! I really am impressed with the Zippy bibs.

Zippy Dribble Bib and PJ Review & Giveaway

Lily and I have always been a big fan of Zippy Bibs. Lily owned her first Zippy Bib when she was about 4 months old. It fit her perfectly and I was so impressed with the softness, the design and fit of the bib. They also have so many different designs on their website and I do love it when I have a lot of choice to choose from. The website is great for finding exactly what you want too as you can click at the side to choose between Girls, Boys, or Unisex and can also choose individual bibs or multipack.

I recently met Zippy Bibs at the Baby Show and told them how impressed with their products I was. So they have given me 2 dribble bibs to review along with a set of green cloud baby Pyjamas in size 2-3 years old. I got to choose from a wide range of bib designs and in the end I chose Yellow Monkeys and Multicoloured Stars.

The designs are so super colourful and fun. I love how cheeky the monkey design is and how stylish the star one is. As I said before, Zippy Bibs are such good quality bibs. The materials that are used are so soft and the neck line is really stretchy. The inside of the bib is a soft thick layered material which is so comfortable to wear and also super absorbent to stop your baby/toddlers from getting a wet top from there dribble and to also stop dribble rash on the chest.

The bibs come with 2 press studs that make it so you can alter what size your bib is. I do love that it is a press stud used instead of velcro so then it is harder for your child to keep taking off. Lily has to be in the right mood to wear a dribble bib, and unfortunately the last few days that I have placed them on her, she didn’t really want them on. She tried to pull them off but the press stud meant that she couldn’t. This did result to moody photographs being taken for the review though. But just because Lily didn’t really want to wear them this time round doesn’t mean that the bibs aren’t great. We have been using them for over a year now and love them. We have never had a wet t-shirt while Lily was wearing one.

One thing I will mention is that the condition of the bibs we have used in the past have also stayed brilliant after tons of washes. The colour has stayed in them and the softness has also stayed. Which is great as you do want to buy something that will last.

Overall I would really recommend buying Zippy Bibs for your child. You won’t be disappointed. Also how could you resist the wonderful price of £3.50 a bib!
As well as bibs, Zippy make wonderful Pyjamas. Lily has owned a few pairs already but Zippy sent us some green Cloud Baby ones to try. Im a huge fan of pyjamas and so far the Zippy ones that Lily has been wearing are definetly my favourite.
The design of the pyjamas are so cute. They are a light green with darker green edging around the collar and cuffs and black stripes on the pyjama bottoms. The picture of the cloud baby is so sweet and is the perfect bedtime design showing Baba Green rubbing his eyes as he is ready to go to sleep. I do love that these pyjamas could be for girls or for boys. Green is a great unisex colour. You can also get Cloud Baby Pyjamas in Blue or Pink. The quality of them is so good too. They are so soft and a perfect thickness with them being thick enough to keep a child warm, but not to thick to make them to warm.
One of the things i’m really impressed with is the fit. There is so much room in these Pyjamas. Lily is 2 and a half and these 2-3 year old pyjamas fit brilliantly and will fit for so much longer too. I expect she will get another year out of these. I also love that the cuffs at the end of the leg are tight which means no drafts at night time. Lily was super happy to have some new pyjamas and had a great nights sleep in them.
The Pyjamas are £15 and you can get them from sizes 6 months all the way up to 3 years.
If you love these, why not head to the Zippy Bibs website to see more of the range.
Zippy Bibs have kindly offered my readers a chance to win a choice of multipack bibs which contain 4 great designs! To win, enter via the blog post. Good Luck!

Milo & Matilda’s review: “Meet Mr Dribble”

Thank you so much for your lovely review guys, Milo is gorgeous, even if he dribbles!

So Milo likes to dribble…..and I mean he is a dribbler. We’ve had clothes so wet that he looks like he’s just taken a dip, head first, into the sink. I’ve suffered severe embarrassment at mother and baby groups because my child looks like an extra from the little mermaid and it never seemed to matter what I did he was always wet.

I have in the past tried bibs of every type, style and brand and his clothes still ended up soggy around the neck and on at least two or three occasions he ended up with the dreaded dribble rash.

Then one day we were at a trade show, with the business version of Milo and Matilda not the human versions. We hadn’t seen much to be honest and we’re just about to head home when we came across Zippy Bibs. We were pretty much sold based on the stunning designs and the multi layers providing extra dribble protection but I’m always a sceptic until I’ve tried something out. So that’s exactly what I did.

Milo rocking his Zippy Bibs in his first ever home photo shoot

I just love love love these Bibs! What more can I say…..well lots actually but I’ll stick to the basics.

Finally we can now go a full day without needing multiple changes, there hasn’t been a wet neck since and there most definitely hasn’t been dribble rash. Not only that but Milo looks even cuter in these adorable bibs (if he could look any cuter than he already is of course) and we have one suitable for any outfit. The cotton top layer is stylish and soft but it’s the secret under layer of a water-resistant fleece that is the magic to these bibs. It is impenetrable to baby dribble, it has solved the issues that I had with wet necks and multi clothes changes and I just love them (just in case I haven’t made that clear already)
My favourite thing is the two press stud design aspect, giving you use of the bibs from birth to approx two years of age. They wash well and still look fantastic despite spending half their time either covered in dribble or spinning around the washing machine.

They are available individually or in a set of 4. With so many designs to choose from you’d be hard pushed to only buy one set. I can’t recommend them enough!

Zippy Bibs – available in a set of 4 for £12

bforbaby’s blog post: “Our 5 Must Have Gifts for the Easter Basket!”

Thanks for featuring Zippy bibs and muslins in your post…. check

Spring is here and Easter is just around the corner! It is so lovely to see the daffodils in full bloom and the lambs playing in the fields. Easter in our house is always marked with an Easter Egg hunt and an Easter basket full of goodies (this is a tradition which started before William arrived! Who says you have to grow up right…)

When it comes to Easter there isn’t a ton of things you can buy for your baby’s first Easter (no chocolate or sweets allowed!) so we have compiled a list of our top 5 Easter gifts for your baby’s first Easter.

1) Blade & Rose Leggings

Blade and Rose, Cupcake Leggings, Easter, Pink, Girl, Leggings, Tights

These ‘sweet treat’ cupcake leggings may not be edible but they are certainly adorable and very practical for this time of year too. Team under waterproofs and wellies to explore in the spring sunshine (and occasional shower!) or to keep little legs warm in the pram or sling. Our tractor leggings are an essential for those trips to the farm to see the baby lambs.

2) Bird Rattle – Plan Toys

Plan Toys, Bird Rattle, Wooden Toys, Eco-Friendly, Baby Toy, Rattle

I have always loved wooden toys and these gorgeous bird rattles from Plan Toys are no exception. Plan Toys lead the way in green, safe and ethical toy making which makes this fantastic gift great for the environment too.

3) Zippy Baby Girl Muslin Squares

These 100% cotton muslins are super soft, practical and extremely absorbent making them a necessity for any mum. The delicate patterns and ‘pop’ of colour certainly shout spring to me.

4) Zippy Baby Bandana Dribble Bib – Rabbit Print

Zippy Baby, Zippy, Bib, Baby Bib, Bunny, Rabbits, Easter, Spring

How cute is this rabbit bib from Zippy. We love their baby bibs as they are super absorbent and they have a huge range of fun designs. This one is a must have for Easter day!

Read why Nadine, first-time Mum to Little T, is hooked on Zippy bibs!

Zippy Bandana Bibs – Why we love them!

“I have to admit, when Little One came along, I had never heard of Zippy Bibs. At 2 weeks old, we received a belated gift from a work friend and one of the gifts was a pack of Zippy bandana bibs. From that moment, I was hooked!

For me, the key feature is just how absorbent these bandana bibs are. With Little One being a mighty dribbler, we need a bib that is going to soak up his drool and stop him from getting sore. Many of the other bibs we own just don’t offer this.

Zippy bandana bib

The bib has a soft fleece underlining, which is kind on Little One’s sensitive skin. As well as this, the bandana style ensures that all areas of his neck is covered for optimum coverage.

When fastening the bib, there are two nickel poppers on each side. This allows you to adjust the size accordingly meaning they are a suitable fit from newborn to toddlers, and you don’t have to worry about them outgrowing them too soon!

One of my pet hates is when I dress Little One in a gorgeous outfit and then stick a bib over the top of it. Unfortunately, this is a necessity as his clothes will be drenched through within minutes. But, what I love about Zippy bibs is that there are so many designs available – bright, neutral, various patterns – that I am able to match the bibs to his outfits. This means the stylish bibs compliment the outfit, rather than swamp it.

Another positive is that despite the bright colours of some of the bibs, they wash extremely well and keep their shape. The instructions recommend that you machine wash at 30 degrees and tumble dry on a cool heat. I have to admit, I didn’t follow these instructions and my bibs are still in fantastic condition. Even the very first bibs we received are still looking good, showing just how quality these bibs are. Although I do recommend that you follow the given instructions!

Where to buy Zippy bandana bibs

You can purchase the bibs either as a single bib or a pack through Amazon or their website. It’s worth noting that the website offers a larger variety of design options. It is also very easy to navigate to find what you want.”

Thanks Nadine!
